On Friday, November 13, Fiction writer Luke Rolfes will give a talk on “Catching Weather: Writing About the Midwest” from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Emy Frentz Arts Guild (523 S Second Street, Mankato.)
Fiction writer Luke Rolfes knows the Midwest: he was born and raised in Iowa, went to school in Minnesota, lives and teaches in Missouri, and is the author of Fly-Over Country, an award-winning collection of short stories. Rolfes will discuss using the Midwest as a setting for his work. He’ll also give a short reading and lead a writing exercise on place.
The Good Thunder Reading Series is presenting this talk in collaboration with the Twin Rivers Arts Council.
